When Knoxville sportswriter Wes Rucker suggested that (erstwhile Tennessee Volunteer opponent) the University of Buffalo's fight song should be Van Halen's "Panama," with the word "Panama" replaced by the word "Buffalo," he had no idea that cutting-edge rock band "Steel Maverick" was listening.

With this blisteringly concise track, they have obliged Rucker's request in spades.

In 2004, Eddie Darksbane was working in the steel mills of Pittsburgh by day and toiling in the studio by night.

His goal?

Meld the power of bands like Metallica with a bit of the sensitivity of bands like Nickelback.

When he met like-minded rockers Brandon, Phil, and Lars, he did more. He forged a band that rocks harder than any alloy from the steel mill.
